COMPUTERIZATION OF LAND RECORDS

 

LAND RECORDS COMPUTERISATION AT TEHSILS OF DISTRICT REWARI.

With the broad objectives of providing responsive, transparent and effective revenue administration, the project of Computerisation of Land Records, of district Rewari was sanctioned by Government of India during the year 1990-91 .

National Informatics Centre, Haryana has been entrusted with technical responsibilities of the project. All 412 jamabandies of three Tehsils in the district  have been computerised and task of computerisation of new Jamabandies directly on computer with the help of Patwari/kanungo concerned has been started.

Land Records Computerisation Centre is functioning in the district and copies of Jamabandies are being issued to the public on demand.  Centre is manned with four trained clerk-cum-operator & Revenue Kanungo.

As part of celebration of the 50th anniversary of Independence (August 1997), on decision of Govt. of Haryana, computerized copies of Jamabandies were distributed free of cost as a special measure to the land holders in order to aware them regarding their records and new computerisation system of Land Records in the district Rewari. Hon'ble Governor, Haryana inaugurated the process.

Hon'ble Minister of Revenue, Govt. of Haryana also has taken live demonstration on the various activities of the computerised System (Dec. 1997).

A Secretary level delegation from the government of Nepal had also visited Rewari to know about the process of Land Records computerisation in the year 1993. Besides that secretary level officers from government has reviewed the project and its progress time to time at Rewari.

 MAIN FEATURES OF THE PROJECT ARE AS UNDER:

 HALRIS (Haryana Land Record Information System):  HALRIS is a integrated software has been developed with objective of providing single Windows Service at Tehsils/Sub Tehsils office. HALRIS has been designed and developed using user-friendly WIndows based technologies keeping future trends and requirements iv view. HALRIS is a product for automation of LAND Records work at Tehsil office. Main objective of this product us to bring transparency in Revenue Administration and to provide timely, efficient and error free service to the public.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:

  • Dissemination of copies of Jamabandies from Land Records Computer centres, on demand, using computers on nominal government fees without delays.
  • Ease in preparation of new Jamabndies, that is no re-writing of un-affected part of Jambandi.
  • Automatic generation of abstract for village, tehsil and district.
  • Fast query system to know the existing information.
  • Ease in data transmission from one place to another.
