Online Treasuries Information System (OTIS)

Online Treasuries Information System (OTIS) has been developed for achieving the objective of cash flow planning and budget control. Following organizations are involved for ultimate and successful implementation of OTIS: -

OTIS – An Overview

OTIS is a workflow application between Banks and Treasuries/Sub-Treasuries, between Sub-treasuries & District Treasuries, between District Treasuries and Directories of Treasuries & Accounts. OTIS also ensures the smooth data flow between District treasuries & Accountant General Office, between Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts and Finance Department for budget purposes. This is the online application leading towards e-Governance.

Feature of OTIS

Following features OTIS have/will be having:

· Well-integrated workflow application.

· Dynamic Menus for security.

· Password protection at application level.

· Biometrics protection will be introduced shortly.

· Data transmission between: -

· District Treasuries & Sub-Treasuries.

· Treasuries/Sub-Treasuries & Bank.

· District Treasuries & Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts.

· Expenditure control using object level Budget allocations.

· Keeping track of incoming & Outgoing finance (Cash Flow).

· Passing Bill in seriatim.

· Balanced workload planning.

· Planning cash flow (Incoming & Outgoing).

· Transparency in treasury operations.

The OTIS has been successfully implemented in the District Treasury Rewari as well as Sub Treasury Bawal and Kosli. The accounts of treasuries is now get prepared by data from Sub Treasuries to District Treasury and from District Treasury to Directorate Chandigarh is transmitted via ISDN connectivity. This OTIS also computerized Pension records.
